Introduction
Leadership impact for TQ implementation
TQ comes up with the culture, belief and attitude of the organization that is necessary in provision of products and services to customers with an aim of satisfying their needs.
Organizational structure: The organization management needs to come up with a leadership as well as a managerial approach and strategy that is in line with the TQ standards. This can be achieved by the use of a new management style that is mainly focused on customer satisfaction and the continuous improvement of the employees. This will help in the creation of good initiatives and also ideas that strengthens the organization.
Organizational culture: The management should come up with an enabling environment that encourage the smooth cultivation of ethical values. Both the executives and the employees can establish a culture that lasts longer to promote teamwork, support and coordination from the upper management of the company.
Organizational stature: The organization levels of achievement and attainment need to be improved each and every time to create a room for constant growth and also improvement. The progress picture is very much important for the long-term goals of the company. So it is very important for the company to come up with roadmaps that will enable future competitions.
Three characteristics that are important in the TQ organization.
1. Strategic management
This will help the company to identify its goals and strategies that are necessary to achieve goals
2. Operational management
This is essential to help the company to come up with essential factors that can help in realization of maximum productivity in the distribution and production of goods and services in the company
3. Strategic management
It helps the organization to make the necessary plans towards the address of the changing market environment in relation to the market demands.
The steps that are important in order to achieve a competitive advantage using the TQ methodology.
1. Obtaining a CEO commitment.
2. Creation of the necessary steering committee.
3. Identification of a mission and vision statement as well as the guiding principles.
4. Creation of a flow diagram that incorporates all the company processes.
5. Provision of a quality training program.
6. Identifying the most effective quality improvement teams.
7. The implementation process.
8. Utilization of the total quality tool.
9. Understanding the total quality benefits.
Leadership initiative
In order to ensure that my company is well provided with a TQ organization, I would come up with three initiatives that are necessary to achieve maximum success.
1. Involvement
I would ensure that I oversee the full operation in the TQ organization. In this whole process would ensure that all the staff form all the various departments in the company are actively involved in the transformation process. This is a good strategy that would ensure all the staff are fully equipped with the relevant information that is needed in the TQ organization. This would be an efficient way that would ensure that all and sundry actively participate. This is a one way that can help the organization to realize its goals faster and in an efficient way. I would also come up with an implementation team that is capable of helping the organization to implement the TQ organization. I would also work very closely with the management to identify various leaders in the organization who be accountable for the whole TQ system and ensure that the deadline of the same is met within the stipulated time frame.
2. Monitoring
The TQ program would need active monitoring. This is very important because as a manager I will be able to correct in case of mistakes that are done in the process. Monitoring will help in the overseeing of the TQ program to ensure all the requirements are fully met. As a manager, I would come up with a monitoring system that will ensure that data on the progress is well analyzed which would be very useful in making any necessary changes that are needed. This makes implementation of the TQ program more efficient.
3. Interest
When implementing TQ program it is important to make everyone in the organization to have a feeling of urgency in the entire company. As a manager I would ensure that the staff is well equipped with information about the TQ program that would create interest among the staff. Helping employees to understand the whole programs creates an aspect of belonging and responsibility which ensures that each and every one is upholds what he or she is needed of her or him. This too will help the management to see the setbacks of not making the necessary change.
4. Training
Training is very critical. As a manager I will ensure that the staff is fully trained to understand the TQ program and how it will work towards the implementation of the TQ program. All the departments too would be taught the basic leadership and also team skills. If the organization needs specialized project management, then it would be necessary to come up with the same. Above all, all the staff members would need to work together and bring ideas together that are necessary for the effective implementation of the TQ program.
