The historic and current impacts of television
Television and it's historical and current impact on the economy, the environment, relationships, education and morals have changed for almost a century. A German student named Paul Gottlieb Nipkow who invented the first television in 1884. The first television was in black and white in color. In 1930 the television was broadcast in Europe, Asia and United States. Like other technologies or machines it was also modified and improvements in its original design, electronic development and color television after 1930. It was one of the most expensive luxury item for a people until 1950. Only rich could people afford this technology. At that time, televisions were in black and white in color, had turn knobs to change channels with a small screen. But in today's world, television and its value is totally modified or changed in comparing with old ones. It is one of the basic needs for today's people. The price of the color television is depend on its features and its quality. The television has a direct impact on economy by advertising products, goods and services which helps to increase client for the company. Television is also called as educational tool by teaching about our everyday life moment and providing people news of all around the world.
The technology which has a large influence on people's life and in environment is television. The history of a family life is divided in two sides: before TV and after TV. In United States, it was very hard to buy one television in a house because of its higher price. It was very expensive luxury item in early times. It is one of the greatest invention in the history of mankind. Like radio and telephone, it is also a form of communication but it plays more important role than other form of technologies. Through broadcasting television get the word out to millions of people worldwide at the same time. Nowadays, people also share their religions, culture, tradition, ideas and many more through television. Television is unbelievable in itself from when it was invented. In early television there were not so many channels and program shows to entertain for people. There were only talk shows. Today we can watch 24 hours whenever we want with unlimited entertaining program shows and movies. Television is one of the reason to make people lazy by not doing anything. Everybody wants to watch television whenever they have a time. It is also a good way to spend the leisure time by watching television. Everything has negative and positive impact, so it has. Alfred Hitchcock said, " Television has done much for psychiatry by spreading information about it, as well as contributing the need for it." It means that television has had a great impact on the treatment of the people who has a problem of mental disorders by providing enough information they need to help them.
Nowadays, there are many romantic TV shows, movies and live shows about other's individual life which can affect in a relationship of a person's life. Many individual believe in television portrayals of romance and are less committed to their spouses and to their family members. According to the research, many couples are not satisfy with their current romantic relationship, commitment and expectations because they believe more in television show than their spouses. Most of the couples want to live their life as shown in a television shows, which can create distance in a relationship. Televisions can change the way of thinking by showing TV shows which are far from a reality. Television is a powerful tool for education mostly for children. When television was broadcast to the public, it continues to provide educational programs to the masses until today. It provides a news of the world in front of a single person. Television is a device that helps to know what is going on in the world. Newspaper and Internet are also recommended for this. In the early days, there was a television show to teach a foreign language, test patterns, college physics and many more which is educationally useful. Television affect in a brain development of a child and learning capability. There are a lot of channels in a television to educate people like discovery channel, history channel, weather channel, A & E channel, current TV channel, etc. It is also used as a academic purposes for many subjects. Television has some channel programs for teachers to provide a lesson for them who needs it.
In the past sixty years, one of the major industry in the world is television industry. Like everything has positive and negative impact, television has also a positive and negative impact in a society. Television is a part of a family in modern days. It has a incredible impact on society since fifty years. Television affect directly on children. For example, cartoon network where children are ready to spend their entire day in a television and crime shows which can harm in the developing brain of children. Relationship problem in a family because of non reality TV shows is also a good example of the bad impact of television on society. On the other hand, television is a device which provides full of knowledge and education. Television is a best option to spend time in a holidays. It is a great way to educate people throughout the society with very important facts that affect our daily life. Television in the quickest way to get it out to the people about social, political, economical and medical issues.
